Cancer takes a lot, but it must not take everything. Not the joy of life. Not the laughter. Not the music. Not the feeling of standing together in one place and feeling: today we are celebrating. Not in spite of everything - but precisely because of it.
Together We Celebrate is the solidarity festival of the Ride for Life. A day full of movement, encounters, music and joie de vivre - open to everyone. Whether you were on your bike in the morning, in the afternoon in the resonance rooms of Together We Care or come to the concert in the evening: You are welcome. You belong here.
No ticket. No condition. Just be there.
Admission is free. Also to the concerts in the evening. We collect donations for the projects of our partner organizations on the square.
From yoga in the morning to the Zumbathon at lunchtime to the Allstar Band in the evening - there's something going on all day long on the BERNEXPO site. No program you have to follow. No time pressure. Just arrive, discover and take part in whatever you feel like.
The first quiet breath.
No reception desk, no flyer. Just a person who welcomes you. Trained hosts accompany you into the room - at your own pace, without expectation. Here begins Together We Care: with a warm, unobtrusive invitation, not with a program.
Find words. Or not.
Moderated and unmoderated small groups, 6-8 people, 45 minutes. No compulsion to speak. No advice. Just listening. Possible questions: «What gave you strength - and what no longer does?» «Which sentence helped? Which one hurt, even though it was well-intentioned?» «I am not healed - but I am here.»
Small wheels. Big hearts.
Children ride for children who are not doing so well. On a safe lap directly on the BERNEXPO site - with helmet, start number and a lot of pride. The donations go to the allani children's hospice in Bern. What the little ones learn on this day cannot be found in any school textbook: that you can make a difference. That solidarity knows no age. And that you can be a hero even at the age of seven.
A heart that beats for others does not need sporting conditions.
The Heartbeat Ride is for anyone who wants to set an example - no matter how. On a handbike, in a wheelchair, accompanied on foot, on a balance bike or on a bicycle. With your own story or with the story of someone close to your heart. On the BERNEXPO site, we don't ride against each other. We ride for each other. Shoulder to shoulder. Wheel to wheel. And every heartbeat on this lap belongs to someone who needs it.
Round after round of smiles.
It spins. It makes you happy. Everyone has been on a merry-go-round - held on tight, laughed and wished it would never stop. This memory never fades. No matter what comes next.
The carousel on the BERNEXPO site is for the little ones who squeal with excitement. And for adults, who suddenly feel like the child they once were. Because life is like a merry-go-round: it keeps on turning. And in every turn there is the chance of a smile.
Where strangers become friends.
Food trucks, cool drinks, coffee, ice cream - and in the middle of it all, the most important thing: encounters. The Held:innen bars on the BERNEXPO site are the places where the day comes together. Where the driver from the Mutrunde stands next to the grandfather who has just been out for the first time in months. Where teams clink glasses, families picnic and strangers strike up conversations - because they are all here for the same reason.
A whole day just for you.
Face painting, games, entertainment and lots of surprises. The children's program on the BERNEXPO site makes 30 May every child's favourite day. While the grown-ups are on their bikes or standing in front of the stage, the little ones experience their own festival: faces that are suddenly tigers. Hands that make things. Feet that dance. And eyes that light up. Because children understand best what it means to celebrate.
When words fail, music speaks.
Music for Life ist der emotionale Höhepunkt des Ride for Life.
Admission is free. Even for those who come in the evening. We collect donations for our partner organizations on the square
On May 30, 2026, the entire area of the Festhalle BERNEXPO will be transformed into a place where solidarity is not talked about, but lived. Outside, the bikes will be rolling, inside there will be closeness, and everywhere in between, life will be pulsating: Music, yoga, dance, food, drink, laughter, encounters.
No VIP area, no fence, no dress code. Simply a place where everyone comes together - for a day that no one will forget. And means so much to so many.
Music moves.
Music connects.
Music is the universal language when words fail.
Music for the whole family - poppy, rousing and full of heart. Ueli Schmezer sings for children, but from the heart of their parents. From «Bagger» to «Zoo» to «Mis liebschte Gmües isch Cervelat» - his songs have been part of the soundtrack of countless Swiss families for years. At his side: Chrigu Dietz, Andi Pupato and Michel Poffet. And you never know who will sing along the loudest - the grown-ups or the little ones.
Schöre Müller & Philipp Bluedög: two Bernese rock-blues veterans, two acoustic guitars, two voices that sound like a campfire. Schöre Müller - Span founder and creator of «Louenesee». Philipp Bluedög Gerber - blues rocker from the Dögz and the Hardcore Bluesband. Two friends, stories about rock'n'roll and life. Unplugged and from the heart.
Come as you are. Stay as long as you want.
On the bike in the morning. Yoga in the afternoon. In the evening in front of the stage. Or simply spending the whole day on the site - with a coffee in your hand and the feeling of being in the right place.
Together We Celebrate is for everyone.
Because life deserves to be celebrated.
Every year, 48,000 people in Switzerland are diagnosed with cancer. This turns their whole life upside down. Together with our partner organizations, we ensure that those affected and those around them are not left alone.
The Ride for Life is committed to this important cause. The focus is on direct support for people with cancer and the joy of life.
